Visioning Session
The Visioning Session was held on March 6, 2008 at St. Rocco’s Church and was a great success. Mayor Ralph Suozzi hosted the event while County Executive Thomas Suozzi was in attendance and offered comments on the importance of the project in supporting the county’s vision of “New Suburbia.” Various Newspapers recorded the event. The session featured a PowerPoint presentation that explained the scope the purpose of the Study and summarized the results of Urbitran’s Existing Conditions Report. The presentation and all supporting presentation materials may be downloaded on our Downloads page.

Public Meetings
Public participation is a crucial element to the successful completion of this study. Citizens and concerned parties are highly encouraged to attend the following public sessions:
Public Meeting #1 – This meeting will be to present potential solutions for the corridor and the recommended actions, to be held late June 2008. Further details will be posted soon.
Public Meeting #2 – This meeting will be to present the final recommendations of the study and elicit comments from the public, to be held in September 2008. Further details to be posted in the future.
